Rachel Brown is known for her performances on a huge range of flutes and recorders, and is also an acknowledged authority on historical performance practice, teacher and speaker. As a soloist she has recorded extensively and toured in Europe, Japan and North America. Rachel is a founder member and soloist with the London Handel Players.
Laurence Cummings is both a conductor and a harpsichord player. He is currently Artistic Director of the Internationale Händel-Festpiele Göttingen, Musical Director of the London Handel Festival and Music Director of Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música in Porto. He has also been appointed Music Director of the Academy of Ancient Music from the 2021/22 season. His performing career has taken him across Europe in addition to being a regular at English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival Opera and Garsington Opera, as well as conducting at the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre, Buxton International Festival and for Opera GlassWorks. He has also released numerous solo harpsichord recital and chamber music recordings.
