Overview
Harpsichord by the Saxon maker Ferdinand Weber (1715-1784), made in 1746, shortly after his arrival in London. Three years later Weber moved to Dublin and became the principal instrument builder in Ireland. Over a period of more than 20 years he carried out work for Lady Betty Cobbe both at Newbridge House and in Dublin. See also the Weber Spinet in our collection.
