Concerts

Overview

Instruments in the collection are used in concerts throughout the year.
Concerts are held in the original Music Room of the house, design by Sir Reginald Blomfield 1903.
During the mid-summer break in the concert programmer, August, the Music Room is displayed as a Composer Museum.

Concert programme for the 2025 will be announced shortly.

Tour of the Collection with Alec Cobbe

King Charles II Virginals

As the Festival celebrates the impact of innovation and technology on music, Alec Cobbe reflects on how developments in technology have been as relevant in the history of the keyboard instrument over the past 400 years as they are today. Alec will give a Tour of the Cobbe Collection of keyboard instruments, including pianos owned and played by composers Mozart, J.C. Bach, Chopin and Elgar, amongst other gems from 400 years of musical history.

Coffee and biscuits on arrival, served in the Dining Room, included in the ticket price.

Lunchtime recitals

Evening concerts

Last approximately two hours with one interval
during which juice and wine are served.

Notices

Wheelchair access available. Please advise in advance.
Please note that tickets cannot be exchanged nor money refunded.
Tickets to recitals and concerts do not include free admittance to the house.
We reserve the right to refuse admission and change the programme and/or instrument without notice.
It may not always be possible to admit latecomers to the Music Room.

Stiletto heels should not be worn.
