Overview
Instruments in the collection are used in concerts throughout the year.
Concerts are held in the original Music Room of the house, design by Sir Reginald Blomfield 1903.
During the mid-summer break in the concert programmer, August, the Music Room is displayed as a Composer Museum.

Returning for their fourth visit to Hatchlands, students from the Royal Irish Academy of Music present ‘From Dublin Archives, with a Russian Twist’ – a programme that journeys through four centuries of keyboard and chamber music.
Sophie Ní Mhaoláin recently completed her undergraduate degree at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, which included two Erasmus years in Denmark and Spain. She was an apprentice with the Irish Baroque Orchestra for two years and is currently on their Young Artist Programme. She has played in ensembles in England, Estonia, Hungary & Portugal, and will make her concerto debut with the RIAM Baroque Orchestra later this year.
Jack Fusco was born in Belfast, studied piano and organ from an early age, later harpsichord at the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He is currently studying harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music, London with Carole Cerasi and James Johnstone, where he specialises in the performance of French Baroque keyboard music and Mozart’s fortepiano works. He has performed throughout the UK and Europe, including most recently at Les Invalides in Paris.
Callum Jeacle is an Irish singer and choral conductor based in Dublin. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Choral Conducting from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and now studies singing at postgraduate level. This summer, he will make his professional operatic debut at the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival in Lismore, Co. Waterford.
Michael Lennon is a 21-year-old pianist from Donegal, Ireland, currently studying at bachelor’s level at the Royal Irish Academy of Music with Professor Lance Coburn. He has a keen interest in chamber music, working with singers, and a special fondness for Russian piano music.
David Adams studied organ and harpsichord in Dublin, Freiburg and Amsterdam, winning prizes at international competitions in Speyer, Lüneburg, Bruges and Dublin. Since his début recital at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, at the age of 16, he has performed throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe, and in the US. He is much in demand as an ensemble player in the fields of Early and contemporary music and has premiered many new works, including numerous compositions written specially for him. In addition to solo CDs recorded on the organs of Trinity College and the National Concert Hall in Dublin, he has recorded for Naxos, Black Box and Wergo. David has taught at conservatories in Freiburg, Berlin and The Hague, and now lectures in organ and harpsichord at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, where he is also Head of the Early Music Dept. In 2007 he was awarded a PhD from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam for his work on Max Reger and Karl Straube.
