Concerts

Overview

Instruments in the collection are used in concerts throughout the year.
Concerts are held in the original Music Room of the house, design by Sir Reginald Blomfield 1903.
During the mid-summer break in the concert programmer, August, the Music Room is displayed as a Composer Museum.

Online booking will open on 25th of March.

A Collection of 19th and 20th century Art Songs from St Petersburg to Paris on the J. Becker piano.

Songs by Frank Bridge for viola, piano and counter tenor plus other British, French and Czech songs. There will be some Russian songs by Taneyev and Shostakovich and then we travel west to Paris and Britain via Prague drawing in composers like Viteslava Kaprálová, George Enescu, Lili Boulanger, Frank Bridge and Lord Berners.

Last approximately one hour.

Evening concerts

Last approximately two hours with one interval
during which juice and wine are served.

Notices

Wheelchair access available. Please advise in advance.
Please note that tickets cannot be exchanged nor money refunded.
Tickets to recitals and concerts do not include free admittance to the house.
We reserve the right to refuse admission and change the programme and/or instrument without notice.
It may not always be possible to admit latecomers to the Music Room.

Stiletto heels should not be worn.
