Bach/Marchand and Handel/Scarlatti are both documented competitions, although Marchand disappeared in the morning, having heard Bach, knowing he would lose!

Carole Cerasi is Professor of Harpsichord and Fortepiano at RAM, Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Yehudi Menuhin School. Metronome recently released the complete works of François Couperin for harpsichord, recorded by Carole over 12 months on 6 different harpsichords, including the Ruckers Hemsch in the Cobbe Collection.
