RCM and RIAM Collaboration

2 May 2024
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Royal College of Music and Royal Irish Academy of Music Collaboration

Directed by David Adams and Ashley Solomon

Two important bastions of music education, the Royal Irish Academy of Music and Royal College of Music join forces to present a programme for flute, voice, strings and keyboards, highlighting works by the trailblazing women composers Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre (1665-1729) and Augusta Holmès (1847-1903). This charming programme also includes piano duets on Irish airs by Reynaldo Hahn, dedicated to Holmès, whose father came from Youghal, a small town on the southern coast of Ireland.
