Concerts

Overview

Instruments in the collection are used in concerts throughout the year.
Concerts are held in the original Music Room of the house, design by Sir Reginald Blomfield 1903.
During the mid-summer break in the concert programmer, August, the Music Room is displayed as a Composer Museum.

Concert programme for the 2025 will be announced shortly.

Catalina Vicens won a scholarship to study harpsichord at the Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia, with Lionel Party. Later she studied at the Musikhochschule Freiburg with Robert Hill and at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with Andrea Marcon.

Catalina has performed as a concerto soloist, among others with Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, and has specialized in the earliest repertoires for harpsichord and virginals from Italy and England. She will be performing on King Charles II’s virginals by John Player, 1664 and Zenti harpsichord, Viterbo, 1622

Last approximately two hours with one interval
during which juice and wine are served.

Wheelchair access available. Please advise in advance.
Please note that tickets cannot be exchanged nor money refunded.
Tickets to recitals and concerts do not include free admittance to the house.
We reserve the right to refuse admission and change the programme and/or instrument without notice.
It may not always be possible to admit latecomers to the Music Room.

Stiletto heels should not be worn.
