DESCRIPTION:Four hundred years of family portraits can be seen at Hatchlands. Among the earliest is the celebrated portrait of Shakespeare’s patron\, the 3rd Earl of Southampton. A group of portraits of members of Charles II’s court is of particular interest\, including a portrait of the king’s daughter with her mother\, the beautiful Duchess of Cleveland.
