The Ruckers family of Antwerp can be considered to be the greatest of all harpsichord makers. The reputation of their instruments was so fine they received orders from European monarchs, including Charles I, whose instrument bore decorations by Rubens.

This harpsichord is well known for its rich and beautiful sound.
